Linladan - Acorn - Swedish Embroidery Kit 23
The Swedish embroidery company Nordiska/NIAB was founded in 1879 and designed patterns for over 100 years. Near two thousand hand drawn patterns from 1960 - 1969 were recently documented and Acorn is one of our very first reprints from the NIAB embroidery archive. Very few instructions have survived time, therefore these kits invite you to improvise with colours and stitches.
When it was first published, Acorn was printed on mustard linen and embroidered with 7 colours of linen threads. So far, the pattern chart for this kit has not been found, however the card shows part of the pattern drawing made prior to production of the kits.
