'Stitch-up CF' Fundraising Sit & Sew - Saturday October 5th 2024

A fundraising event for young people living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) hosted by amitié

Join the amitié team for a day of fun, all for a good cause. Sit with friends, both new and old, and stitch a block (or more) to donate to the Abbie Fennessy Trust (AFT). Jen and the amitié team are donating 100% of the proceeds from this workshop to the Abbie Fennessy Trust. All funds raised will support young people living with Cystic Fibrosis.

During this Sit & Sew, you will use your gifted Ridgeline Tempter Acrylic template set and donated fabric to make blocks. At the end of the day, participants will donate their finished blocks to Beth and the team at AFT, who will sew them into quilts for those living with CF, and memorial quilts for families who have recently lost a loved one to CF. Extra or unfinished blocks can be completed at home after the workshop and posted to CFCC at 282 Neerim Rd, Carnegie, Vic 3163, or dropped off at amitié Textiles.

Can’t attend? You are welcome to join in from home by purchasing the Ridgeline Tempter mailing your completed blocks to us here at Amite. We’ll forward them to Beth.

The Abbie Fennessy Trust was established in 2013 to support young people living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Cystic Fibrosis is a degenerative genetic condition present at birth. It has a range of significant impacts on the body, and the overwhelming, devastating, and irreparable lung damage from repeated bacterial infections prevents most individuals with CF from living past young adulthood.
