Spend the day exploring the whimsical and quirky with Anni Downs.  Anni's marvellous use of multi mediums create layered story quilts that are immensely artistic with a vintage twist.  Participants will gain insight into her creative process by combining woven wool applique, piecing and stitchery and create their own wonderful version of this unique and distinctive style.

Participants will work on block 5 from Anni's quilt, ‘Dancing Chickens and Flying Pigs’ . Techniques covered in this class will include; woven wool applique, preparing larger blocks for stitchery and using stitchery to embellish and add detail.  Participants will receive the full quilt pattern and a kit to complete one block.
