Learn the skills and techniques to construct your own shirt (or shirt dress) in this fantastic 2 day workshop where you will walk away with your own original handmade garment. Donna from Sewing Therapy will take you through every step in the process giving away many tricks of the trade.
Participants will cover; fabric selection, cutting and pattern layout, French seams, Flat Felled seams, collar and stand construction, placket and cuff construction for men and women, hand sewing techniques and buttonhole placement.
Fabric Requirements: 2.7m (115cm wide) or 2.3m (150cm wide). Light weight cotton for shirt and Light/Medium Weight for Shirt Dress.
If you are new to sewing, we ask that you arrange a one on one session with Donna prior to class to ensure that you are equipped with the basic skills to tackle the content of the workshop. We also recommend this for those of you who have not sewn in a while to get a quick refresher and ensure you get the most out of the class.
