Class Policy and Tips

All class fees are to be paid in full at the time of booking. You will receive a receipt upon payment. Further details regarding the class/event will be sent approximately 2 weeks before the class date.

As each sewing machine is different, please ensure you know how to use your sewing machine before class and that it is in good working order. 

Please bring all necessary requirements to class. A list of requirements will be emailed to class participants approximately 2 weeks before the class date. Please contact info@amitie.com.au if you require any further assistance.


Class participants enjoy a 20% discount on purchases made in-store on the day of their class. Unless otherwise stated class discount excludes already reduced items, books, Liberty of London, classes & programs.


Cancellation Policy for Classes and Events

All classes and events at amitié Textiles are non-refundable. We book teachers to travel & teach their skills/crafts months in advance. They often spend weeks preparing for a workshop and cancellations cannot be accommodated. You can, however, transfer your booking to a friend/family member or request that amitié find a replacement for your ticket.

If you need to transfer your place in a class, you have the following options:

Registrants can send someone in their place into the workshop.
  • You will be responsible for handling the financial transaction between yourself and your nominated person.
  • You will notify amitié via email (info@amitie.com.au) notifying us of these changes from the email that the booking was made under.


Request amitié to find a replacement for your class.

  • This must be requested 60 days prior to the class commencement date.
  • If amitié cannot find a replacement there will be no reimbursement for your place in the class/event.
  • When transferring the name your ticket is held under, an administration of 20% of the class fee will apply.

 

Full fees will be refunded in the event that Amitie cancels the workshop.


Please note that Handcrafted has the following refund policy

  • Cancellations 30 days before the commencement date will incur a $50 fee.
  • Cancellations within 30 days of the event will are not entitled to a refund. 
  • You’re welcome to transfer your ticket to friends/family. Please note if transferring the name your ticket is held under, an admin fee of $30 will apply. Additionally, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your place and for handling the financial transaction between yourself and your nominated person.
