AM046: Beginner Quilting Class with Anna Cromie
In this 2 day Beginner’s Quilting class, participants will work with two basic shapes: squares and half square triangles to make a mini pineapple quilt. You will learn all the fundamental basics of quilt making. Day 1 will look at the construction of the quilt top including: fabric selection, rotary cutting, laying out the design, machine piecing and pressing seams. Day 2 will cover finishing off a quilt including: sashing, borders, basting, hand quilting and a demonstration of binding.
This intensive class will get you well and truly on the way to making your own quilts at home but watch out... it's addictive!
Requirements:
Sewing Machine: You will need to bring your own sewing machine. As each machine is different, participants must have a good working knowledge of their own machine. If you have a new machine we highly recommend taking a short class from your supplier on the basic operations of your machine prior to class.
